What you can do in the app

Response time

Brauchma is a free service run by a private person. Every message is read, but there is no guaranteed response time.

Supporting Brauchma

Brauchma is free, and the shared lists, offline mode and invitations stay free for good. There are no ads, no sponsored products and no affiliate links, and your data is not for sale. What Brauchma does cost is the server, the domain and the time to look after them.

If Brauchma helps your family, you can support it with a voluntary contribution. It keeps the servers running. Suggested amounts are €12, €24 and €48 a year; any amount from €1 counts. A contribution is a one-time payment, not a subscription: nothing renews on its own, and you decide each year whether to give again.

As a thank-you, your family is shown as a supporter for a year from your contribution: a small heart appears next to the family's name, its members can pick one of three accent colours, the family can vote in the yearly roadmap poll, and the app pauses its occasional notes about supporting, apart from a reminder shortly before the year ends. That is all. No feature of the lists is locked away, and families who do not contribute keep every feature.

How to contribute: in the app, open Settings → Support Brauchma. There you find your family's support code, which links the payment to your family, and the ways to pay that are offered, for example a card payment page, Ko-fi or a bank transfer. Every member of a family can contribute, and the thank-you goes to the whole family. A supporter year can also be a gift for another family: the app creates a gift code to pay with, and the other family redeems the code in the same place. This website has no payment links, because only the app knows your family's code.

You pay on the provider's page or through your bank; Brauchma never sees your card details. A card payment usually shows up within minutes; a bank transfer is matched by hand and can take a few days. If your contribution does not show up, write to brauchma-support@googlegroups.com with the date, the amount and your family's support code or the gift code. The terms of use and the privacy policy say what a contribution means and what Brauchma stores about it.
